We Are

 Moving Forward with Hope, Inc. was founded in response to the growing need for accessible, compassionate, and community-based support for individuals experiencing homelessness and hardship in rural Eastern Kentucky and surrounding areas. The organization was established by Shawna Mabry Kidd, alongside key collaborators Dannarae Conley and Erin Myers, who each bring valuable experience in crisis response and outreach services.

Through their combined work on the front lines, the founders witnessed firsthand the gaps in services for individuals facing housing instability, mental health challenges, and limited access to basic necessities. These shared experiences, along with a strong commitment to service, led to the development of a mobile outreach model designed to meet individuals where they are, both physically and emotionally.

Moving Forward with Hope is grounded in the belief that every person deserves dignity, respect, and access to essential resources. The organization reflects the founders’ collective expertise, compassion, and dedication to empowering individuals to regain stability, rebuild their lives, and move forward with hope.
